The first Annual iC3 Life Science Summit is set to be held on September 29th and 30th in Dallas, Texas, marking a new chapter in promoting the region’s biotech and life sciences sectors. The event, which is being organized by BioNorthTX at the Marriott Las Colinas Hotel, is designed to help foster networking, partnership, and improved communication between stakeholders in the North Texas biotech and life sciences industries, as announced by the association.
The independent, non-profit trade association is organizing the inaugural summit, which will feature a wide range of dynamic keynotes and presentations. The event will kick off with a keynote address by The Honorable James Greenwood, who is the CEO of the Biotechnology Industry Organization, in Washington, DC, as well as from Tom Kowalski, CEO and President of the Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute (THBI), in Austin, and Dr. Dennis Stone, CSO and Director of Remeditex, in Dallas, TX, who hosted the Breakfast Keynote.
The Annual iC3 Life Science Summit will also feature panels and showcases on a wide range of industry-related themes, including How to Build and Grow a Successful Life Science Company and new findings from the area’s leading Research Institutions. The Founder and Chairman of Life Science Angels, Inc., Allan May, will host a Luncheon Keynote on the 30th. In addition, exhibit booths from key regional support organizations will be accessible to attendees.

Job seekers and post docs will also have the opportunity to interact with potential hiring executives during the summit, which will close with a Cocktail reception for the attendees.
The organization of the inaugural Annual iC3 Life Science Summit is being hosted by BioNorthTX in collaboration with the organization’s own Board of Directors, business leaders and life science experts with the purpose of engaging national, state and regional interests for the biotech and the life sciences in North Texas.
“Ultimately, BioNorthTX hopes to accomplish three goals with the Summit: highlight the unique assets that make North Texas a prime region for the life sciences, bring North Texas life sciences companies together to foster continued success, and showcase North Texas as an emerging destination for bioscience innovation and enterprise,” stated the trade association in a press release.
BioNorthTX held the first meeting of its Board of Directors last May, bringing together a group of North Texas biotech professionals at The Foundry in Dallas. During the inaugural meeting, board members discussed the early accomplishments of the organization, laid out plans for future events and nominated board members to newly established committees which seek to represent and grow the life sciences industry in the North Texas region, focusing on establishing partnerships with local and state organizations, researchers, and biotech companies.
