The event, which is currently in its second year, was able to raise $90,000 in donations for the Peach Outreach, a charitable organization with a mission to increase public awareness of uterine and other gynecological cancers. The organization also endeavors to acquire funding for scientific research, cancer treatment, and promoting the practice of prompt screening for all women.
The AAF is an organization founded by a group of Texas lawyers who wanted to give something in return to the communities that have continuously patronized their law practices. Given that the AAF’s main mission is to aid in fundraising for various local charitable institutions, the organization was well positioned to help raise funds for the Peach Outreach.
In a recent press release, AAF executives noted that they have become very aware of the alarming increase in numbers involving cancer, and how this disease affects not just the patient, but their loved ones as well. Together, they felt it was only right that they make efforts to support local charities focused on combating cancer. Out of many potential nonprofit organizations, they chose to back Peach Outreach, which will receive all proceeds from this year’s Clays on the Brazos sporting tournament.
