Orthofix International has just welcomed two new members to the company’s Board of Directors. They are Kathleen Regan and Randy Thurman, who will be replacing Jim Gero as the Chairman of the Board. Gero, who’s been on the Board since 1998 and has held the position of Chairman since 2005, will be a consultant to the Company’s Board until January 2015. Orthofix’s Board has 8 yearly appointed members, 7 of whom are independent.
Upon retiring from his position in the company’s board of directors, Gero said that it was a great honor to have worked with Orthofix for the past 16 years, and be the Chairman of the Board in the last nine. He said that the process of selecting the new candidates for the board took several months, and that with the coming of Regan and Thurman, he now feels the time is right for his retirement and new appointment as a consultant to the board.
