Fort Worth, Texas-based RPM2 (Remote Performance Measurement/Monitoring) and USA Triathlon have announced a brand-new Bronze-Level partnership. With this partnership, RPM2, a manufacturer of computerized insoles conceived to monitor the training elements of running and biking, will be an exclusive training partner for the National Governing Body.
This cooperation will last until September 2017 and allows USA Triathlon annual members, certified coaches, and members of certified clubs to benefit from a 10 percent discount as part of the text agreed.
The RPM2 technology serves to measure bi-lateral equivalence in athletes and examine the gait, range and motion, and four-quadrant foot pressure of athletes. The process is predefined with two “gait” exercises and two “pressure” exercises, and with five “range of motion” exercises. There is also the footbed and app that includes four cycling exercises containing power meter measurements specifically geared for triathletes and speed cycling.
“Our revolutionary technology is aimed at making athletes better, stronger, and faster,” CEO Johnny Ross, a client of technology incubator Tech FW, adding: “Helping athletes achieve higher performance through bilateral equivalence is what RPM2 technology provides. Coaches and trainers already recognize that the more bilaterally equivalent the legs are, the better the athlete will perform. Now there is evaluative data in which to base these judgments.”
All data and information resulting from the pre-set exercises allows athletes and their coaches to customize training programs to fulfill individual needs. This technology was conceived to facilitate athletes and coaches tasks, adjusting training regiments and techniques to better performances.
“This advanced technology will allow athletes and coaches to make individualized decisions based on their own unique results and, in turn, will help members of our endurance community make the most of their training,” Chuck Menke, USA Triathlon Marketing & Communications Director, explained. “We are excited to welcome RPM2 to the family of USA Triathlon partners,” he adds.
MedHab, LLC, founded in 2008, is the parent company of RPM2, which is established in Fort Worth, Texas. To see more information on the RPM2 technology go to: RPM2.com.
